This iconic landmark is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park complex which also includes the eternal Flame of Peace Monument, the Children's Peace Monument and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
