I’m really pleased with how this photo turned out. It was during one of those scorching summers in Iloilo City, when the air-conditioning at home was on the fritz. Seeking relief, we decided to escape to Tigbauan for a few days, staying at a beach resort I had long wanted to visit.

Equipped with my trusty Sony camera (which I have fully designated as my infrared photography kit), an R72 filter, a variable ND filter, and a stack of neodymium magnets to flip the internal hot mirror filter, I set out in search of scenes that would translate beautifully into infrared images. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the world in a way unseen by the naked eye.
